The Coach HouseSleeps 2
The Coach House is situated on the South East side of the Island in an attractive farm courtyard with ancient Grade 11 listed barns and a traditional farmhouse which dates back to the 17th Century. Sainham Farm occupies a delightful position, lying at the foot of Appuldurcombe Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This village is renowned for its church and pretty thatched cottages. It has a variety of teashops and restaurants as well as a pleasant public house where meals can be enjoyed. The sandy beaches of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor are only a ten minute drive away.
The Coach House is a stone cottage attractively situated adjacent to a bridleway which leads through the woods to Godshill. The cottage is centrally heated and has been furnished and equipped with care. It has a large double bedroom with an en-suite shower room at ground floor level. A staircase leads from the front door and lobby to a spacious open plan studio where there is a comfortable sitting room with a sofa, armchair, colour television and video recorder/DVD player; a pretty dining area and a modern fitted kitchen which is equipped with a fridge freezer, electric cooker, micro-wave oven and cupboard space. A stable door opens out from here at 1st floor level onto steps which lead down to a gateway across the bridle path providing access to a private garden. This garden has a table and chairs so that meals can be enjoyed outside.
A laundry room containing a washing machine, tumble dryer and telephone is available across the courtyard. Use of the laundry room is shared with visitors from other cottages in the courtyard. There is secure parking at the front of the cottage. Dogs are welcome in the Coach House and because of its proximity to the Stenbury Trail the cottage is an ideal base for walkers. Regular bus service and shops are within 10 minutes walk.
