Walking
The farm is situated in a prime location for walking and rambling, with a number of footpaths and bridleways giving access to the village and the downs. The Island has many circular walks on its 147 square miles, which take in many of the local attractions such as Roman Villas, Light Houses and Old Smuggling Havens and many have a Public House on the route for a well earned rest..

Cycling and mountain biking
With endless miles of bridleways and the former railway line now known as the "sunshine trail". The Island offers an abundance of both on and off road cycleways.

Beaches
With the Island enjoying a generally warmer climate than the mainland, visit one of the many beaches. Also visit ventnor and see the exotic sub-tropical plants growing outside in the botanic gardens.

Clay Pigeon
Home to the Isle of Wight Gun club. Shoots are held forntightly and visitors are most welcome. Please visit the clubs website for bookings and further details.

Golf
The Island has no fewer than seven clubs on offer . All of which welcome visitors from as little as £10 for a green fee!

Horse riding
A number of local stables offer riding and tuition.

Pubs and Restaurants
The village is well catered for and a meal in the either the Taverners Pub or the Essex Restaurant, in the village should not be missed.
